Concentrated Basement Sealants

Concentrated Basement Sealants

There are two primary types of basement sealants you can use to waterproof your basement.  There is often some confusion between the two so I am going to help with distinguishing them!

Some companies offer basement sealants that are NOT in concentrated form. This means that when you get the sealer you apply it. You don’t have to add anything at all to the sealer. These products often cost more money because they had to add the water for you! Other companies, like Basement Self Solve, offered a professional grade sealant in concentrated form. You receive a one gallon bucket of basement sealer and have to add four gallons of water yourself. Believe it or not, adding your own water can save you between $100 and $200 dollars.
